Asphalt Mixing Plant Main Components:

 1. Cold Aggregate Feeding System: Used to store aggregates of different specifications, such as sand and gravel, and transport them to subsequent processes according to the set ratio. It usually consists of cold aggregate bins and belt conveyors.

 2. Dryer Drum: Provides thermal energy through a burner to heat and dry the aggregates, removing moisture.

 3. Hot Aggregate Elevator: Lifts the heated and dried hot aggregates to the vibrating screen for screening.

 4. Vibrating Screening System: Separates the hot aggregates into different sizes according to particle size and stores them in the corresponding hot aggregate bins.

 5. Hot Aggregate Bins and Weighing System: The hot aggregate bins are used to store the screened hot aggregates of different specifications; the weighing system accurately weighs the required various hot aggregates according to the set mix ratio.

 6. Powder Feeding and Weighing System: Includes a mineral powder tank for storing mineral filler, and a powder weighing hopper or screw scale for accurately weighing the required mineral powder.

 7. Asphalt Feeding and Weighing System: Liquid asphalt is stored in a heated and insulated asphalt tank, and the required asphalt is accurately weighed or metered through an asphalt weighing tank or flow meter and transported to the asphalt mixer.

 8. Bitumen Mixer: As the core equipment, it thoroughly mixes the accurately weighed hot aggregates, mineral powder, and asphalt within a set time to form a qualified asphalt mixture.

 9. Finished Product Silo: Used to temporarily store the mixed hot asphalt mixture, waiting for transportation vehicles to load. It is divided into bottom-mounted and side-mounted finished product silos.

 10. Dust Removal System: There are two types: wet dust removal and bag filter dust collectors. Bag filter dust collectors are environmentally friendly, collecting dust generated during dryer, screening, and mixing processes to achieve environmentally friendly emissions.

 11. Control System: Generally located in an air-conditioned and comfortable control room, it is used to set recipes, monitor the production process, record data, etc., to achieve automated operation and management of the equipment.

 12. Pneumatic System: Provides power to various valves and cylinders to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. Air compressors include piston air compressors and screw air compressors.

 13. Fuel System: Provides thermal energy for the dryer drum. Commonly used fuels include diesel, heavy oil, and natural gas. Asphalt heating system: Asphalt heating can be done using direct-fired heating, which is suitable for small asphalt mixing plants and is more fuel-efficient. For larger asphalt mixing plants, a thermal oil heating system can be used, with options for coal, oil, or natural gas as fuel.
